Pros

Pay and benefits are awesome (thanks to Teamsters)! Get extra week vacation every five years. Great co-workers and get to meet and know all kinds of people (good if your a peoples person).

Cons

Very unbalanced work/life. Constantly being harassed about production standards that are unrealistic and contradict their safety protocol. While overtime is good I would dare to say there is to much here. You hardly ever get to see your family.

UPS is more than 100 years old. They are an industry leader. They have solid internal processes. You will learn alot about managing in a high performance environment.

Cons

UPS has to be your first, second and third priority in life. Any time you have left over...if any...is for everything else in your life. If you like to feel appreciated for your efforts, don't come here. Appreciation is recieved on the 26th of the month when your salary is deposited. For some that is enought. Also, remember this is a company whose rank & file are represented by the Teamsters Union. Be ready to play that game.

Pretty fair in work. Low pay. Good benefit. Boring job. This is a good company for any ones want to make minimum wage in a easy job.

Cons

They must understand that we still have family beside the job. Need to pay a little bit higher. Hire more technical staff than management people.
