Pros

UPS is a great company to work for as a part-time hourly. They provide all the same benefits to their part-time employees as they do to the full-time employees. Another pro is that UPS only promotes from within their own company so if you start with them at a young age you can expect your pay to increase with your seniority

Cons

Only cons are in regards to management not hourly employees. If you are not educated above a high school degree DO NOT become a part-time supervisor at UPS. You will be stuck in this position for the remainder of you life with UPS. I personally know of at least two part-time supervisors who have been with UPS upwards of 10 years. They are both great at their job and have more than enough experience and expertise to be successful full-time supervisors. Sadly however, they do not have college degrees and therefore are suck in the lowly position of part-time supervisor indefinitely. In other words, if anyone out there in UPS world is thinking about going the management route without a college degree..... DON'T DO IT!!!!

Pros

Good company overall. Corp moves slow and steady, which has it's plusses and minuses. Planning occurs way in advance, but you have a chance to get things right. Good benefits. Lots of stock as compensation.

Cons

Low salary. But when considered with stock, not too low. Strongly discouraged from selling company stock. A lot of long-time employees means slow to advance.
