Pros

Work you can be proud of Room for advancement with a little logic Benefits Some great hard working people

Cons

Can be back breaking (literally) Middle/Senior management can appear to be out of touch with the smallest person on the totem pole For one of the greatest logistical operations in the world, there is often not a lot of logical decisions taking place in the eyes of a pre-load package car loader

Pros

medical, vision, and dental benefits, work schedule vs school schedule UPS will work with you. For the most part, UPS and Teamsters provides a strong sense of job security. Considering our huge drop in volume in the Kentucky district over the years; UPS has yet to lay off any employees.

Cons

The extendend wait for full time oppurtunitys, the wait in my building for full time driving is about 8 years from date of part time hire. The wait for 22-3 combo fulltime is about 10-12 years from date of part time hire. Most the jobs are very physical, you better prepare for a long physically demanding career. Their is no climate control while loading a truck. In the summer. Trucks are 120 degrees; in the winter its 10 below 0.
