Pros

- Large company that allows for solid career growth without strict formal education requirements. - Job security is generally strong for younger management people (older people may get incentivized to retire early during periods of downsizing)

Cons

- Despite being an international company, they do not provide opportunities to move internationally early in one's career when it is easier to do so (young and single vs family life)

Pros

UPS promotes from within. Great healthcare. The management team is generally pretty good; a lot of emphasis on management training.

Cons

The pay can be low for certain jobs relative to industry standards. For instance, the Finance and Accounting jobs are at a lower pay rate than similar jobs at other companies. Emphasis is placed on higher education, i.e. MBA, for management jobs, but the company does not pay anything for anything beyond a Bachelor's degree. It can also be difficult to take a vacation longer than a week even if you have the time.
