This company pulls it's strength from their employees and gives them support in return. Their employee education assistance program is first rate.

Cons

Hard physical work. But not sue that's necessarily a con.

Worked as a driver helper one year when I had been laid off from my job. Worked my tail off for $10 an hour with 3 different drivers. 2 of them were very cranky long term employees who constantly complained about the company, the work conditions and their salary. Got tired of all the complaining especially since I know they were making a lot more than $10 and hour and quite honestly I was doing the majority of the work during their peak season. One driver I worked with had a positive attitude and that was quite refreshing. Had heard from other drivers, driver helpers and former driver helpers that I would get a nice bonus from the drive I worked with.........yeah, not so much. It's an ok job if you need money badly but be prepared to be used and abused for very little pay.

Hard work, tough conditions, little pay.

Pros

It's a great job, I get to be out and about all day. I love the constant moving, before you know it, it's time to go home.

Cons

I'd love to have more hours. We normally only get 7 to 8 hours per day, and there isn't really any way for the helper to get overtime during the holidays. I am used to getting extra hours during the holidays and I expected the same working for UPS but they don't allow it. Other than that. I love the job.
