Pros

Great benefits, such as tax free housing payments, tax free food allowance, free medical care, and an opportunity to travel all over the world. The biggest benefit for many would be the free tuition towards school.

Cons

You could be away from family alot due to deployments, training, or overseas assignments. Promotion can be difficult for those that are not good test takers or for those who are not well rounded by going to school for self-improvement or by volunteering around the base or community.

If you don't quite know what you want to do with your life or you want to see what else is out there than the USAF is the place you want to come. Every job comes with training opportunities some more than others. Job security as long as you can follow orders and accomplish the mission. People you meet and connections you make. Opportunity for a paid for college education.

Cons

Depending on where or who you work for - office politics. Depending on what job you get, there will be time away from family. There are sometimes "bad leaders".

Cons

Not all the people you meet are great, and it sucks picking up the slack left from others.
