The Army is an organization which pays employees to travel the world and get world class training.

Pros

The salary including allowances is very competitive with the civilian market. The Army has a lot more holiday time than most American organizations, public or private, 30 days a year plus at least one three or four day weekend every month. If you're smart about it, you can get trained and use your training in the civilian labor market.

Cons

In the past eight years, I haven't lived in any one place longer than 34 months. That's tough on a family and tough on a spouse's career.

the USArmy allowed me to become an extraodinary leader and organizer. My skill set has improved an allowed me to be productive in any enviroment or culture.
