Pros

Army Values, the culture, work ethic, and purpose - this is a lifetime career worth following.

Cons

Family separation is the biggest challenge in an Army career. Our profession requires us to deploy/travel away from our families, so that it is a family sacrifice. I still wouldn't trade my 27 years for anything else.
