Pros

The benefits and support that the Army provides for its soldiers cannot be matched by any entry level opportunity on the civilian market. The skills I gained in the Army Signal Corp, are for the most part transferable to the IT career field in the civilian work force. I loved the comradery and the security of being a soldier. I will miss it.

Cons

No such thing as full time or part time, you are on call and government property 24/365. No financial compensation for working harder than your peers. Breeding ground for individuals who will monopolize on your efforts.
