Pros

-Free healthcare dental medications -Free housing -Free education benefits -Free food -Work clothing allowance -Financial services -Great long term career -Opportunities to branch out into other career fields

Cons

-Wasting tax payers money -Wasting enormous amounts of paper -Office personnel loosing personal data such as certificates, leave forms, score cards then having no explanation as to how it went missing. Basically being irresponsible with sensitive information, and they never get punished for it. -Does not dispose of sensitive data properly. I have seen people throw out paper with social security numbers on it straight into the dumpster without shredding it. I have told my higher ups, nothing gets done about this either. They also leave sensitive information out in plain view for everyone to have access to. -No free will, eventually you will tire of waking up every morning doing the same exact PRT warm ups. - Formation is at 1700, your NCO tells you to be there 15 minutes prior, (1645) but if you aren't there 15 minutes prior to that 15 minute prior formation your late so you end up having to be there at 1630, standing for a half hour. 1700 hits, you are still waiting for the formation to show up because the guy holding formation really did mean "1700" and NOT 1630 like your NCO was implying. -Freshly promoted E-5's especially if they have not been deployed. They all of a sudden get to ego and power tripping and start acting like they've been through 2 tours of 'Nam. they are the worst of the ranks. -Having your spirit torn apart, you can't be you.
