      Pros

      As a civilian employee the benefits and pay make this job worth it. There is a lot of opportunity for overtime, cash rewards for doing a great job, and great healthcare and dental benefits. Plenty of promotional opportunities with 0 experience needed.

      Cons

      Management is so twisted. Very unqualified, uneducated people in management positions. It takes forever to get anything done. I thought it was just my group, but talking with others its the same way. Probably conduct 2 hours worth of work in an 8 hour work day. People continuously try to throw others under the bus.

      Pros

      I would recommend the united states navy to anyone that wants to travel and see the world. The gi bill is pretty awesome when it comes time to separate and start school.

      Cons

      Dont plan on saving much money while in the navy because to be honest the pay kinda sucks. It is true that the meals are paid for and so is housing, so the cost of living is very low, but just dont plan on saving much, especially your first enlistment.

      Pros

      Training applies well compensating real world jobs. Having a consistent pay you can depend on is nice.

      Cons

      No effort to change the work climate. You're expected to work extremely long hours often getting little to no sleep per day. If you have a medical or psychiatric issue they will intentionally try to stop you from getting help if it may endanger your position on the watchbill. Extreme inconsistency in who gets punished and for what when something goes wrong.
