This is at least a four year commitment talk to people with at least 3 years experience to help make your decision

Cons

The current World climate may change what it means to be a military member. If you can not agree with the ideology of the current world leaders you may need to find another option.

Working with young colleagues to support our nation's goals. Promotion opportunities. Experience leading small and large groups of dedicated individuals. Benefits, including medical, dental, optical, education, retirement plan.

Cons

Time away from the family on while deployed. Can be bureaucratic when dealing with "Big Navy." Can be difficult to accomplish mission in economically austere environments.
