      Pros

      The pros were that I got to fly in a Helicopter everyday, on deployment you get to work of off a flight schedule, so you don't have such a monotonous schedule. Most people on deployment work 12 on and 12 off, but for aircrew you are required to get a certain amount of rest before flying which is very nice.

      Cons

      Cons are that the training and schooling is very long and for that you are rewarded with E-4 right away, however dont expect that to change the fact that you'll have to do E-3 and watches even though they have only been in the military a quater of the time you have.

      The Navy can be a great place to work, but it all depends on the command you are working for.

      Pros

      Valuable work, significant responsibility, compensation can be good depending on if your position is graded correctly, opportunity to travel, usually many opportunities to move around and up in the organization.

      Cons

      Military vs. Civilian issues, military leadership is constantly rotating, crap shoot on good or bad chain of command, there are plenty of people just there to collect a paycheck.
