Pros

Lots of benefits to include education, medical, ability to see different cultures and lands. Being in the Navy can change your life for the better if your open to change and growth while preparing you for your future.

Cons

inconsistent decisions. Leadership does not listen to middle management. Poor leadership is nurtured and grows because they need people to stay in so they overlook bad behavior which in turn creates leadership that allows bad commands to become worse.

Pros

I entered the Navy as an E-1 when I was just 19, now 26 years later I'm a commisioned officer in the Limited Duty Officer program.

Cons

This career can be extremly hard on families especially they don't have realistic expectations and there a no open lines of communication.
