Pros

Great opportunities to learn and develop unique skill sets that are transferable and applicable to the private, public or government sectors, whether you choose to get out of military our make it career.

Cons

Really no negative words to say about the US Navy, with exception to being deployed for months at time spending time away from family. But it comes with the territory, it part of the packaged deal.

Pros

Education benefits are awesome. Free medical care including dental is the norm in the military and that is very nice.

Cons

Pursuing an education while in the military, government financed, seems like a great benefit. However, if you are required to work 60 hours a week and be called in at a moments notice for even the most insignificant of problems, an education is much more difficult to obtain.

- Great benefits - GREAT MISSION! - excellent training/education opportunities - travel - significant leadership responsibility very early on and it grows exponentially with each tour - financial accountablity - ability to capitalize on a business degree while

Cons

Supply Corps is seemingly abanadoning the "Acquisition" career path. It has gone from being a dominant career path to "civilianizing" the best acquisition jobs...this has limited the opportunities for senior officers to run large contracting activities.
