Pros

Cons

Difficult to actually get anything done Advancement is difficult Benefits are not uniform, depending on nationality Fairly biased based on your managers nationality, but that is to be expected

Pros

Considerable amount paid as salary, rental subsidy, etc. Work and life balance guaranteed. Very flexible.

Cons

No positions opening. US pulling out of multiple UN organisations - so many regular posts are vulnerable now with the budget cut. Also many staff have been with the organization for many years - which may be less "exciting" for younger staff.
