Pros

a prestige between people, moderate work load, sometimes you get the chance to travel for a different duty stations.

Cons

you will not gain any experience, almost impossible to grow inside your unit, unless you apply for a different job. the priority is always for the international staff not the national, this includes yearly raise, travel opportunities, and even in an incident investigation. after more than 10+ years of experience, I would advice anyone not to get stuck in their system, because I actually regret it.
