Pros

Organization values, good benefits, tax exemptions, holiday time, paid home leave, reasonably priced health care, good relocation package.

Cons

The short-term contracts at field missions can be somewhat unsettling. It is hard to plan with a one-year contract.

Pros

global exposure, interesting work. The world is for you to pick as they operate in almost every country. Great if you are looking to get involved in international development. But the work at NYC HQ is not field work, thus if international development is what you are expecting, get a duty station outside the HQ.

Cons

very bureaucratic, hard to recommend changes. Can be hard to get a promotion if you do not know the right people.
