Pros

- Interesting work, knowing your work in a small way can help humanity forward - Great, very international work environment - Training for some jobs is amazing - Amazing benefits, both the financial and non-financial benefits - Exit opportunities for legal officers can be very, very good, depending on specialty

Cons

- Very bureaucratic work environment - Some very odd policies (e.g. unpaid international interns -> only rich kids can intern at the UN is a questionable policy to say the least;) - Sometimes very, very long and unpredictable hours
