People in the field are trying to channel a large amount of funds but the absence of program management capacity does not help to capitalize the real necessities.

Cons

Poor management, duplication of efforts due to internal frictions and competitions for prevalence. Sympathy for those who are putting tons of dollars resourcing apparent altruist projects - please bear in mind you are satisfying the ego of non-altruistic so called professionals. Working at the UN is extremely fulfilling; one's hard work is repaid well in terms of salary and benefits. The UN truly provides an interesting, multicultural, fun work environment, where you learn and grow every day.

Cons
