Pros

Upwork has a great culture driving everything. The culture is very aligned with the vision of the company and what it does. You can see the impact of your day to day work literally on millions of users. Working at Upwork provides you with a great balance between work and life.

Cons

Not a surprise in silicon valley tech companies. The product strategy is not always aligned with business strategy. They somehow manage to pull it off at the end of the day.

Pros

All around great company with passionate people focused on an amazing mission. It’s hard to say that your work directly impacts lives at a global scale, especially with constant “disruptors” popping up all over SF. The time for the mainstream to accept remote work is now. Ability to work remote whenever needed is a huge plus, gym/commute/phone reimbursements, really good insurance, and free food.

Cons

Leadership direction can lack sometimes and some stronger leadership members’ opinions seem to weigh more than others. Nothing atypical from other companies though.
