Great team atmosphere and a genuine desire to achieve as a team. Complete openness with opportunities to progress and you are actively encouraged to explore where you want to develop. Financial package is very strong as are the wider softer benefits around families and development.

Technology is solid, customer base is loyal.

Cons

New sales management completely changed the corporate culture for the worse. Account lists are shrinking as the quotas continue to grow. Corporate message confusing and disjointed. Sales leadership is vain, underwhelming and only at the company to raise the stock price. VMware has lost the mojo and is now a toxic place.

- Good Benefits - Good Product - Respectful CEO who cares about people

Cons

One of the newish manager's is on a mission to get rid of men from the company and hire females only. It's pretty evident in recent hiring decisions that preference is towards an "All Girls Club" style mentality. Diversity in the workplace is great, but when it's taken to the extreme it makes for a toxic culture. Speak to many ex VMware people who have left the company, and they will say this new leader is why they left VMware.
