Despite its size VMWare is still an engineering-centric company. Even though they have a lion's share of the virtualization market they are not resting on their laurels but committed to promoting R&D. They also have a great work environment: brand new buildings with lots of light in the offices, kitchens stocked with healthy food, organic fruit delivered multiple times a week and a subsidized on-compus fitness center that includes weight machines, a squash court, several basketball courts, aerobic exercise machines and a soccer field. They also have an expansive cafeteria with a sushi bar, Indian food, Mexican food, a grill and much more.

Flexibility, working from home is an option. People are very smart, creative and innovative and passionate about what we do. The company has a lot of perks such as free snacks, soda, juice, coffee, candy. Beer Bashes. Fitness Classes, Yoga, great facilities. Compensation is very competitive, there is a bonus and stock options as well as an ESPP.
