Pros

Training and knowledge sharing of inter-project relations can be tremendous. There is a good mixture of seasoned veterans and greenhorns. If you are in the right position, the Company will take you all over the US for training and meetings. Benefits are great for single, married, and kids. The Company cares tremendously about safety and their employees wellfare. Depending on the area, there may be multiple positions to train or advance in / to.

Cons

The management at the site dictates how the Company runs. There is no standard for training, travel, or raises. Managers have the strong tendency to play favorites by assigning higher pay raises for less work - A manager can give raises based on his impression of his employees. Therefore favortism is not checked by Human Resources. Senior leaders (Area and above) do not offer routine checks to ensure that the Project Managers are following HR procedures. Since the Company is paid generally through tax-payer dollars and a contract is in place, there does not seem to be any concern over "extra-spending" when it involves the City's funds.

Pros

Good benefits. Good work in an underated industry. Financially strong company. Friendly co-workers. Safe work enviornment at the branch level. Good service reputation in my community.

Cons

Poor leadership from all levels of management. The turnover at my office has been so rampant that it feels like management is creating problems so they can act to solve problems, unfortunately it seems like every month someone else is being shown the door. The daily unrest at my office is constant. Not sure what the direction the new CEO wants to take the company. The previous CEO talked the talk but never walked the walk. It always feels like today is the last day the company will be in business. The company was a lot better run when it was Superior.

Pros

Great benefits package. Very passionate employees running the various projects. When work is initiated and defined, it is what they say it will be. There are some really good managers who are an inspiration to work for. If training is offered, it is generally first class and well done.

Cons

The work can get monotonous quickly. They do not utilize technology as a business tool, rather as a burden to work. There are some extremely heavy handed managers who treat employees and vendors as threats. There is also an extreme interpretation of the SOX Law that hampers productivity.
