Veritas Technologies reviews

The problem isn’t the employees, it’s executive management. It’s management by schizophrenia at Veritas rigth now. Every org, including Sales, CPO, Operations, Marketing, Engineering is in disarray. Most of these executives wouldn’t know how to run a lemonade stand let alone a multi-billion dollar company. As hard as it is to believe, I’m convinced they don’t understand software or hardware development processes, or resource constraints, or mythical man month concepts. They want everything and they want it now. Nice sentiment but there’s this little thing the rest of the world likes to call……………..reality! They can’t stick to a plan for more than a day or two. They’re always injecting some new product demand into the mix and then they wonder why it causes such delays with reduced features and poor quality. I honestly believe they don’t understand development processes, velocities or resource limitations.

- No investment in established revenue generating products - New product strategy appears to be the "throw stuff at the wall and hope it sticks" - You can only squeeze so much out of an employee; being on 24-7 on call every 4 weeks gets old quick. - morale among lower ranks is in the toilet; management has its head in the sand - tools keep changing, don't work too well and and getting worse. - Support management is in a race to the bottom; turning what was a great place to work into a high pressure, low-quality, low enjoyment hell hole. - C-levels leaving on a frighteningly regular basis.
