      Pros

      Looking at the current state of the company, I dont see any Pros for this company!!

      Cons

      I was hired with a lot of fanfare. Actually, my hiring manager was desperate to get me on-board for a new product. During the interview process I was told I will be given a lot responsibilities and theres a lot of work etc etc. But such is the poor state of the company that there are layoffs every 3 months!! and after 8 months of service I am shown the door. Most appalling thing is, I get the appraisal on Monday and on Wednesday I am told to leave!! shameful!! Feeling cheated!!

      Pros

      This was one of the greatest tech companies of all time so the name still means something to old timers.

      Cons

      Reductions in Force continue on at least a quarterly basis with little to no communication. The company is in an unrecoverable tailspin and attempting to cut its way to profitability. Unfortunately, when companies cut their R&D and their products are antiquated they become nothing more than maintenance opportunities on a declining install base.

      Pros

      Great colleagues who are very helpful and very upbeat. Was a very positive work culture until about 3-4 years ago.

      Cons

      Scores of people in the Pune center are being forced to quit by being put into “professional improvement programs”. Of course there’s no way to prove this without a little spade work but if you see the ‘attrition rates’ you’ll know. Of course there’s also official layoffs going on. But all this is because the company is not doing well. The company used to have a really great work culture but bad leadership is now slowly taking it to a new low every quarter. I hear from my ex colleagues who are still hanging on in there of a workplace which is mostly tense, worrying about the next layoff.
