Inside Sales? Avoid at all cost.

Pros

A pool table. Occasional tournaments. Guys from other parts of the company are very cool and awesome and easygoing. Offices very modern.

Cons

In Inside Sales? Everything. Good money potential but targets inflated like balloons 150-300% with no reason. Business not pretty. The company is leaking horrific news articles everywhere, focusing on cost savings. Redundancies and no more investing in product. Company has steady loss of revenue YoY. Regardless of territory, expectatives are stupid crazy and in less mature markets impossible. Very weak Channel. Micromanagement. As others say canteen is piss-poor. Really. BYOF (or go somewhere else).

Pros

People/Teams are superb to work with. If you are lucky you might get a great manager. All my managers are/were great, but i hear stories about others every now and then. However that's a story in every company. They pay decent and got some great benefits.

Cons

Management (especially Exec level) sitting in HQ is clueless about where they want to take the company. Different Execs are trying to pull the company in different directions. Care less for teams and people and only running behind numbers. Non stop fear of layoffs

It is a fast moving, somewhat chaotic environment - but that is what makes it so exciting and full of opportunity. Lots of support to make a difference!

Cons

If you are not ready for change and opportunity, it's not the right spot.
