Cannot say about all the teams, but specific to my team.
Listing down few things
1. Non technical management don't understand the technical difficulty and wants to get the things done by hooks or crooks. Leading to bad coding practices.
2. The more focus is on delivering the maximum features in 2 months which should take a year. (here they do quarterly release and barely get the time to finish the development)
3. Manager does not stop bringing more and more work to finish even if there is no bandwidth. According to manager everything is mandatory as PMs have asked for it.
4. Last minute requirements -is fashion here.
5. People here are overworked and I personally had mental and physical health problems. Employees are pressurized to work for more than 12 hours and on weekends too. And also, instructed to keep our personal work aside. (I thought I was working this hard just to make my life easier.)
6. In spite of working so hard, if things go south, the blame is solely put on the team members for not doing the due justice to the development and testing and for not raising the flag (And forgetting that the manager only said it's a mandatory requirement).
7. Zero respect for employees.
8. Even after so many resignations, the manager does not learn a lesson and keep practicing the same thing.
