      Pros

      Good benefits, lots of great people. Some of the best technology available for large enterprise customers.

      Cons

      Management claims willingness and eagerness to innovate, but won't put the resources behind it. Veritas used to be focused on people and technology, recent hirers, especially at the VP level and up, are changing it to a numbers game. Losing lots of good people.

      Pros

      All the pros I come up with are all things we should expect from an employer. They are moving towards a "no PTO" model which means we don't have to accrue time off, we just take it which is good on the surface, but see cons.

      Cons

      The general consensus is that our management will use the new PTO policy to deny time off since they will grant/deny based on performance.. etc. They have been scaling back our "perks", which I understand, but at the same time making ridiculous changes to ensure everyone falls in line when it really affects those of us that do the work and put out an effort negatively. Basically instead of punishing the "causes" they punish everyone.

      Pros

      Great people, great work environment, education on new tools to help you become successful, good compensation package, good leadership, and good health benefits.

      Cons

      You are pushed to take on more than just one role, and we've seen in some cases where people are taking on multiple jobs or their jobs may be at risk. What you see and hear is not always the truth, and our leadership is not always delivering a consistent message. Engineering is in a constant tailspin of uncertainty and doubt of their future. Nepotism over merit is very common. Quarterly job shuffle causes angst and uncertainty of ones future.
