Stay away unless you thrive on drama and dysfunction

Pros

Work from home; company vacation policy and a few good co-workers that I'll miss. Opportunity to work with newer virtualization technologies that look good on your resume.

Cons

Lack of strategy/vision; no support system for new employees; too frequent re-orgs that put the wrong people in the wrong seats; weak leadership and sinking morale.

used car salesmen

Pros

You get to gain experience as a hired gun working for several different companies. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

You will work for a bunch of used car salesmen who will say anything to get their customers to adopt "the cloud." They will also tell you that you're a full-time employee, but you're really just a contractor. As soon as the customer figures out how to get someone cheaper, you will be laid off. This is the most dishonest employer I've ever worked for in twenty years in this business.

Lots of talented engineers with no motivation.

Pros

Work remote, benefits are ok as well some decent, talented people. Unfortunately that is about it.

Cons

No motivation for unmotivated staff. Management thinks if they ignore it, it will go away. Some managers do not even engage members of their team unless they have to. There was also a lot of deceit and paranoia among staff. People who are not in management roles giving orders while managers of those people sat idly by. There was a lot of lying and “no I didn’t say that” stuff going on, making it incredibly unenjoyable to sign in every day. There is a push towards specific technologies just because it’s Dell owned and therefore, there is a total disregard for customer satisfaction. There is a very arrogant attitude of “they will do it and they will like it. Oh, and we will charge them obscene amounts of money to bend to our will while we shove it down their throat.” In the long run, that wont’t keep customers, which is the organizations bread and butter. It almost feels like the company is being intentionally run aground.
