Pros

10% discount on products in the store and 15% off Walgreens brand products. Free flu shots at start of flu season.

Cons

Due to the current economic slowdown, Walgreens has stopped its agressive new-store openings. This has nearly eliminated room for advancement. Also, they are currently going through a restructuring replacing higher paying Assistant Manager positions with store team leader positions. Their pharmacies are rarely staffed with enough people causing employees to be pulled from other areas. This causes problems when trying to help customers and finish tasks assigned.

Pros

Good compensation compared to other retailers. Learning experience for every position. Public company.

Cons

A lot of pressure from management. All retail = disgruntled customers at times, especially during holidays.
