Pros

Walgreens supports the community that they are in. They take care of their employees and treat them fair. Employees with special circumstances are accomodated.

Cons

The managment is not always truthful in what they say and how they convey it. The assistant mangagers typically have to work at a store that is 40 or more miles away.

Pros

good benefits and 401K plan; decent pay;good computer system; job security;fairly easy to transfer to other locations within company if you have to move

Cons

very high stress environment; expected to do more and more with less support hours i.e technicians; every move you make is monitored-corporate knows how long it takes you to answer the phone, how long it takes to fill a prescription during each step, etc; you are expected to do the work of 2 pharmacists with no bathroom or lunch breaks; day and evening shifts with no consistency-sometimes you are lucky to be able to go home for 8 hours before you have to start it all again; constant interruptions- multi tasking does not even begin to cover it.; usual corporate BS-paint a pretty picture for when upper management comes- you are encouraged to voice your opinion unless of course it does not coincide with managements view
