Pros

There are great opportunities to develop salesmanship abilities and to get really great experience in management. The benefits, although not as good as they were in years past, are still heads above the rest.

Cons

There is little to no growth. The company has the focus on the customer and spends so much time and energy chasing after failed initiatives and the ever elusive stock price of years past. It has become a 'Wal-Mart' culture of dumping on employees and having unreal expectations for little help.

Pros

Leading U.S. company with stores opening every day nationwide; pharmacists at corporate are smart and great to work with; opportunities to work on major initiatives that impact sales nationwide.

Cons

Favoritism - some of the most unqualified people get some of the best jobs because they are "buds" with the hiring manager. Here, it is really who you know, not what you know. No opportunities/support for getting involved in (outside) industry meetings, professional growth seminars, or career advancement. You are told to pursue this on your own time, outside of working hours.
