Pros

Acquiring management experience, having a job in this economy, having benefits, not being unemployed, that is pretty much all I can say...

Cons

No personal life due to "fair scheduling" that makes everyone rotate and no holidays (retail). Assist. Managers basically are the abused members of the staff... they unload trucks, maintain the warehouse, stock shelves, clean bathrooms, cover breaks, clean vomit, do price checks/customer service on aisle #, in addition to merchandising, cleaning, getting back up in the pharmacy (which is most of the day), returns/exchanges, money handling, complaints plus running the store as a "manager". It is sad that I was lured to Walgreens at a college recruiting fair, told I would be in management, had to have a degree to work there, and I was cleaning public restrooms. I did not invest four years of college to do this job. I just got my MBA and hope to leave very soon!

Pros

Nothing special to say. not much not much. Business will be very slow. If you have good social skills, you will be fine.

Cons

Nothing special to say. Very minimal Benefits, only 2 weeks vacation that to you will get Zero vacation in first year. Management don't interact with team members. They dont share iny info with you. Information is power. Don't expect any appreciation for your work.

Pros

For full time employees, Walgreens offers some of the best benefits compared to other companies in the retail sector. The pay is competitive, and great coworkers can mean a great work environment.

Cons

Who your coworkers are makes a tremendous difference in what your work environment will be like on a daily basis.
