Pros

Three weeks of vacation time after 5 years. The medical and benifit plans aren't too bad. The profit sharing is good.

Cons

You're treated like a pissant (excuse my language) and no positive feed back from management. Unless you're a kiss arse, forget promotions. There is a horrible lack of communication.

Pros

Learn real management skills on the run. Truly a sink or swim environment for new grads especially during Christmas season. People skills, negotiations (if you have a long leash), time management; Everything that they theorize in your business classes come to life.

Cons

Due to only 40 hour work weeks expect to have too much do and not enough time. Expect to be slummin' it physically till you move up to store manager.

Pros

If you can stand a career in retail, this is as good as it gets. You really need to be motivated to move up, and you must be willing to sacrifice free time. The job itself is getting harder, but the compensation is good.

Cons

As with any retail job, it involves a significant commitment of your time.
