Pros

None. If I could rate Walgreens half a star I would. Disgraceful and disreputable. 8 years of service down the drain.

Cons

The company makes you follow this standard of what they call "Sop's" for being in particular situations. Merchandise to to them is just merchandise, the same with their employees. Stating someone is stealing from you when you see it happening in front of you is frowned upon by company standards, thus employees are forced to endure stressful situations and not react. Having normal human behaviors while being forced to cope with these feelings is insidious. Do anything or have a voice and you will be terminated.

Pros

You can work any shift you want . First shift 7:30 am as a shift lead to open the store , everyone else 8:00 am until 4: 00. You get 2 paid 15 minute breaks and a lunch of 30 minutes you clock out for . Second shift 1, 2,3 or 4 pm until close . You can sleep in every morning and work a shift . If you need weekdays off to pay bills you can . If you need a 4 day weekend once a month your store manager will give it to you because mine always did . PTO starting after 6 months and you can take a day off whenever . I loved this job for its schedule and the customers I served for 5 years .

Cons

I left because there is no real managerial growth in the company . They took away ASMT , and ASM positions . You can’t ever make over 16 dollars an hour as a shift lead and becoming an emerging store manager is hard / impossible for people who have been with the company for even 10 years .
