Pros

Medical billing, terminology, and point-of-care patient service. There's always an opportunity to learn something in this environment.

Cons

Depending on the location, there's incredible technician turnover. The IC+ software is unreliable at times, and its abstruse architecture is a challenge to anyone unfamiliar with software of its kind. Bridging patient understanding between receiving a prescription medication and insurance claims and the processes of managing and facilitating them is crucial for good communication and employee-patient relations. This isn't an urgent care (with exception for hospice care), and many patients will impose unnecessary stress. Patience and forgiveness will be practiced left and right.
