Pros

I worked as a loss prevention associate for a little under a year. That was the most easy going position there. Walk around in whatever you wanted to wear and pretend to shop.

Cons

The managers think they're above everyone. You HAVE to take your lunch after working a certain amount of hours, I think 4 1/2, or else you get a punished, 4 times and you're fired. Loss prevention has hardly any safeguards to protect themselves. Your evaluations offer a such a small wage increase meant it's hardly noticeable. If you bump heads with a manager (no matter the department) your every action is scrutinized and your likely to get in trouble more often.

Pros

set workday schedule. No rotating days on/off. decent pay. good benefits. The company is starting to be more transparent in terms career paths. There are manager willing to help you find your job/career that you prefer.

Cons

Open door policy tends to lead to retaliations from management. Management gives mixed message in effort to keep control and lead associates to the point of termination. Hard to get promoted without transferring to a different department due to management having cushy jobs and never transfer.

Pros

Gets to walk around the store as a plain clothes security guard, Gets to make stops and apprehensions. Flexible schedule if you have the right manager.

Cons

the pay is terrible! you can make more doing the same job at other companies. Walmart is known for its low pay and low customer service. Fair pay would help with the customer service part.
