Pros

Pantry Lunch Play area Good tech stack work place

Cons

there is nothing as such, But few teams have very less work and few have too much. And if there is a production issue you could be called any time of the day.

Walmart Response

Thank you for this encouraging response. Regarding having very less work or too much, I would recommend talking to your manager to try and figure out how this can be balanced. During lean times, we encourage associates to go for additional trainings to upskill themselves - whether classroom or online. The nature of support for production issues is as you have described - it comes with the role. Look for opportunities to see how production support roles can be rotated and how you can instrument your code to further reduce production incidents. All the best for a great career ahead.

Not My Walmart

Pros

Pay is reasonable based on experience for NWA area. Base pay as a Project Manager II is 92K and with last year’s bonus of 18K put me at 110K. So the money is right compared to other companies in the area. There are highly talented individuals and an opportunity to build your knowledge base.

Cons

The Walmart culture has diminished to a cut throat, highly political environment that no longer respects the individual. The Open Door Policy is disgraceful and will get you on the path to termination. Too many organizational changes with entire departments eliminated. Poor direction from leadership, having a direct impact on evaluations. Political in who not what you know. Be very cautious around Millennials!! Walmart is on the path of lowering the age of its workforce. Not a good place to work if you’re over 50
