Good people. No innovation

Pros

Good people. Supportive co-workers. Easy work/life balance. Decent benefits

Cons

Sorely lacking in effective leadership. Poor cross-department communication. Mediocracy is celebrated. Innovation is all talk. Chasing Amazon's tail and losing that chase. No room for career growth unless you are brown-noser.

Pros

There are no pros for business professionals who want to develop their career and have a pleasant work experience, unless you consider free coffee a plus. Working for the wrong person at Walmart can destroy all of the education and time you've invested in your career, no perk can make up for that!

Cons

There are pockets within the management ranks at the Director and VP level that are full of toxic people. These people are costing the company huge amounts of money through running their own agendas, and doing the kiss-up kick-down style of leading. They may have the very senior leaders fooled, but not the teams who are doing the actual work and responsible for the numbers. These so called leaders are a cancer to the organization, they make reference to Save Money Live Better laughable. Talented people who are educated and have experience with other organizations look quickly to get out once they realize what is going on. Even if they don't get out immediately, they are so turned off, they become a member of the club that begins to look for an escape. Many of these toxic leaders are long time Walmart people whose only claim to fame is that they are good at shucking and jiving; basically, these are imbeciles who couldn't get employment elsewhere.
