Pros

It seems like a nice place to work, there is the opportunity for growth, advancement, and flexibility. This is a situation where if it sounds too good to be true it is.

Cons

Once you are hired associates are told a test will be given. You will have two attempts to pass it after four weeks of training. If you don't pass it you will be terminated on the spot. This should have been communicated during the hiring process not after an individual accepts a job offer for a permanent full-time position. There are several software systems created by Walmart you have to learn that fails on a regular basis. You have to take out your own trash and vacuum your work area. The restrooms are not clean on a consistent basis. Training is really teaching you because the workflows that are supposed to assist are overwhelmed assisting others. If this is what keeps you being the number retailer then continue, just remember giants can fall and fail like anything and anyone that takes advantage of good hardworking people.

Pros

I enjoyed my time at Walmart and hope to go back. It's a good company with nice discounts for the employees and a chance to extra bonus money. Co workers were great and helpful. Training prior to going on the floor was perfect. Hours were good and the shift schedule was not to erratic.

Cons

having to push the Walmart credit card for that bonus. The store I worked at most of the customers were low income and didn't want a credit card and having to ask the same people over and over again was awful, because they didn't want to hear it anymore.
