Pros

Good wages, great opportunity for growth, able to move everywhere and transfer. The grass is not always greener. 12 years there and I still miss it.

Cons

Long hours and you are managing idiots who think they are entitled to the world because they have been their for 6 months. I have never seen such a lack of enforcement in policy, There is litteraly a policy for every move in the store and management doesn't enforce it.

Pros

You get all of your hours, and the company has a great engrained culture. Decent pay, but big time opportunities for growth. Great job security

Cons

You see people get upper level jobs from out side companies with less experience than your management team. The assistant managers dont get paid enough.

Pros

Retail is a challenge. It can be a lot of fun to set that goal and accomplish it.

Cons

Retail is not always fun. The holidays often include working long hours away from family.
