Pros

Great opportunities, great pay and benefits, corporate culture and commitment to diversity and inclusion

Cons

There is tremendous pressure to cut costs, so there is no budget to attend conferences or gain valuable training. Not enough resources and unattainable amount of work is assigned makes employees feel under valued and expendable

Walmart Response

Thank you for your valuable feedback. It is certainly of great concern. WalmartLabs as an organization aims to keep a strong technology focused growth for our associates in Bangalore. We are on a massive growth curve. As an organization, we are also very conscious on keeping intact a culture of respect and fairness. If you feel existing policies are not being implemented correctly and there is any amount of fairness or transparency missing in your team, I would encourage you to take this up with your HR partner with a data driven perspective on what is wrong and how it can be corrected. All the best for a great career ahead.

Pros

Tremendous variety in your day-to-day work, always something new to learn, opportunities to promote, genuinely good people working in these stores, and in my judgment the company is making good investments to remain relevant to customers for the future.

Cons

Culture and leadership styles are not at all consistent across the company (it's a big company). Out in the stores/clubs, the culture is set by the store manager and market manager. If you're getting into field management, make sure you get a true sense of the culture of that market and store. Getting into the wrong store or market could make your 18-24+ month tour miserable and could ultimately slow your upward mobility.
