Pros

Emerging organisation and has quite a lot of big opportunities and could be pretty stable

Cons

Severe leadership crisis, different pillar has different working style, you got to be lucky to get a chance with right leader. In some pillar there are some visionaries (Akhil Vishwanatham), where you got to be lucky to be working in their team, and in some there are some difficult people, to an extent that you have to only work to make the managers happy than achieving the organizational objectives.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We appreciate your recognition of leadership in the organization. Your observations otherwise are certainly a cause for concern. WalmartLabs in Bangalore is constantly striving to build a strong leadership brand in our organization - you will find different leaders have different operating styles. These different thought processes are what enrich an organization's IP and DNA. However, one common and uncompromising thread across all of them would be *strong integrity* in everything they practice. Please use the tools available to you to provide constructive 360 feedback wherever you find opportunities for us to get better. We wish you a wonderful career ahead with WalmartLabs.

Pros

Walmart is the largest privately held company in the world which means the things you do at Walmart can have major impact. It is very exciting to see projects you've been personally involved with scale quickly to serve hundreds of millions of customers across thousands of stores.

Cons

Walmart's stated strategy is currently to win in "Digital to Physical". In other words, to leverage its physical stores and supply chain with it's online assets to win customers loyalty. Is it working? Not by a long shot.

Pros

The people I worked with were generally friendly, and I was able to move up quickly through the company ladder.

Cons

The push from upper mgt and corporate to always keep an eye on the bottom line and not plan for unforeseen issues at store level put a huge burden on the individual associates. I tried to be a buffer between them, but it got to bad that I ended up taking time off. I'm talking about asking 2 employees to do a job that required 8 employees and asking those two to complete it in the same timeframe.
