Pros

Fun, challenging, and the clients are really interesting. You're always learning something new, both about the industries your clients work in and about loans and financial instruments they want.

Cons

You need experience to do well at this, but it's a dead end. If you don't have the experience, you can do a marginal job. If you do, you logically want to move on to work with bigger and more complex clients. However, that is on the business banking side and this is a personal banking role, reporting to a branch manager, so it's hard to make the cross-over.

Pros

depending on department flexable hours, work is independent for the most part, you are aware you your deadline so you can work at you pace.

Cons

Growth and promotions is limited, not all departments have flexibility or care about work life balance. Managers are not consistent. With current market condition managers think it’s a good thing to push people out.

Cons

Retail banking has the hardest goals/quotas in this industry and its pretty evident in how the company's high retail employee turnover numbers.
