Pros

Benefits are outstading at Wells Fargo. Four weeks of paid vacation for starters is awesome. 401K offers a 6% dollar per dollar match, which is not very common nowadays. Salary is adequate when compared to other banks. There seems to be less of a pushy sales culture at WF when compared to the other big banks-Chase, Bank Of America etc.

Cons

Product pushing to the moon and back. Bankers are told to sell to whomever and wherever they can, whether that person needs to product or not. Branches are overstaffed with Personal Bankers, some having as many as 6 or 7 for a branch that isnt very busy.

Pros

The best reasons to work for wells is that they offer a great benefits package and give you training about your 401k. Also they give to tremendous amounts of training if you are going to become a personal banker.

Cons

The sales goals for wells are too high and are not realistic which makes it a high stress level position as a personal banker

Pros

Wells Fargo invests a lot in its employees and has several structured, organized training programs, classes, etc. that help with professional development. The overall benefits package is very competitive. Wells Fargo is a well-run organization and it's easy to be proud to work for a company that is led by the types of people that are in senior management. Furthermore, the company has the resources, product lines, etc. to provide virtually all the financial solutions a customer would need, which I feel gives it a competitive advantage over many other banks, which gives me little desire to work for someone else in the field I'm in.

Cons

It's a very large organization, and as such, can feel like a large buearacracy at times.
