Pros

Wells Fargo was a great company to work and offered one of the best health insurance and benefits packages. In my experience, coworkers were warm and friendly, welcoming new workers in the job environment and were a tight knit family. In addition, Wells Fargo has a good variety of positions from teller, personal banker, underwriter..etc. They have a variety of undergraduate/graduate job rotation programs that take on graduating students into the workforce and put them in rotation with multiple offices across the company. These rotation programs pop up all the time in job listing and are a great way for students to enhance their professional skills.

Cons

Management is discouraging about job growth and potential opportunities. In my experience at Wells Fargo, after meeting the minimum required time in position requirements, I had a discouraging conversation with upper managment about a position I was interested in. Prior to applying for the position, senior management tried to stray me away from the position making me feel like I was stripped of an opportunity without even having the chance to compete with my peers. This situation left a sour taste in my mouth about Wells Fargo's management team and influence on employees in branches. Because workers within the branch may have higher turnover than other positions, it seems that management tries to hold onto branch workers as long as possible.

Pros

The team environment is great, and their are a lot of fantastic people who work for wells fargo. They have detailed ways to disseminate important information throughout the company which is really important for a big organization. The benefits package is competitive.

Cons

The sales goals are horrible, you can help many people in a day (and take care of a lot of problems) but if you didn't hit your numbers you failed. I feel guilty if I leave for an hour for lunch and asking for time off that I earned (almost like I am asking a favor).

Pros

Quick promotion rate if you are effective at closing sales through various means.

Cons

High pressure to sell, even when you don't necessarily think it is something you "should" set the person up with. I often find myself feeling guilty for talking people into products they shouldn't be using.
