Pros

Work-life balance is good, support for employees is good, benefits are decent. The bank is large, but reasonably well run and conservative, so it will be around for the long haul. It's not going to be the fastest moving, but that is part of it's stability. The people are generally good adn the company does seem to value them more than other companies.

Cons

very large and bureacratic. Compliance issues are a huge headache right now, and if you are reasonably innovative, you will be frustrated many times in trying to implement your ideas. There are not immediate consequences for incompetence or failure.

Pros

At wells fargo there are many reasons to work here. For one, the diversity here is the best in the industry, the shear amounts of diversity and openness is unsurpassed. Also, depending on what group you are in, the dress code is VERY laxed for a bank (Jeans, T-shirt is acceptable). Also, some offices have fooseball tables/pool tables for the people (wholesale side). as with any big company, thsi could vary group to group, however except from the finance heavy areas, many workers work remotely, as well as get very lenient PTO. Speaking of PTO....25 days + 1 day at home a week is fantastic.

Cons

Big company, and everything that comes with it

Pros

Stability and security. Great incentives for top performance.

Cons

sales pressure, too much emphasis on sales results. It doesn't matter how great you are as an employee in any other way except sales. If you are fantastic with fellow team members and customers, are reliable, are helpful with others, are creative, go above and beyond are ambitious and behave with high ethical standards...you can still get fired and pretty easily if you don't make sales goals. Ridiculous!
