Pros

Wells Fargo is an excellent employer and company to work for. I enjoy my job, my coworkers and I have confidence in senior management at Wells Fargo. I am especially impressed how Wells Fargo has been able to keep its head held high during the financial crisis while other financial institutions have struggled so severely due to sales and management oversight.

Cons

While I feel Wells Fargo promotes within, I feel they do not fairly compensate internal candidates. Many employees feel they need to leave and then come back to receive a substantial increase – one over 15%.

Pros

The benefits are truly great and cannot be beaten by anyone in the industry.

Cons

Regional management that is imcompetent at best. They have huge egos and really are clueless when it comes to dealing with employees. Beating people up for working hard, yelling at people when they are hitting their goals, and not approving any credit requests typically does not lead to happy employees. You would think they would look at their retention problems and realize this, but their arrogance does not allow for introspection.

Pros

The benefits are great, working for Wells Fargo has helped me to realize a dream of owning my own home and has helped me to start saving for my retirement. Wells has now begun working with the boomers - offering us seminars on how to retire, how to network within the company, how to stay employed after retirement, balancing work and personal life etc. I only wish I had started working for them earlier in my life.

Cons

Sometimes communication of new policies and procedures is not well done, being a big company it is hard to make policies that work for everyone. However that is getting somewhat better.
