Pros

Profit sharing checks every quarter. Small workforce only about 200 or so employees, very selective of who to hire and make permanent from temporary employees Worked there for 1 1/2 years and was pretty happy. Fast paced work environment

Cons

Employees are very judgmental Management needs improvement Growth is not about your experience or skill set, it’s about seniority. Family medical emergency required me to leave the state for 6 months, tried to get my job back even though I knew I would’ve started as new employee. So they don’t care about work life balance or unforeseen circumstances.

Pros

I have worked at plant level and corporate office over last 3 years: Corporate office is comfortable. Benefits are great. Additional $10/mo deducted to utilize really nice gym facilities on Dearborn campus or at corporate office if you choose. Fun summer activities to get involved with - softball, volleyball, etc. in McConnell Park. Safety does always come first - but sometimes can be taken too far, pending who your EH&S rep is. Personally, I have a wonderful manager. Needing time off for emergencies is never an issue. You put in honest work for honest pay and you get rewarded. It's pretty simple. I am confident that corporate life and manufacturing are not my end goal in this life, but I am comfortable here and have great friends.

Cons

Boys' Club 100% - if you are one of those people looking to climb a corporate ladder you will absolutely need to be a male, love golf, and have strong opinions on OSU football or just have played OSU football in your past life. Pending what division and/or business unit you are in - things tend to become very political, as expected in corporations. Transformation rules everything. EVERYTHING. Literally everything. I have worked with HR reps that I trust. I don't feel that way here.
